Pedro Sánchez ha paseado su esbelta figura y su coquetona sonrisa por las alfombras rojas colombianas. Seguramente habrá dejado una buena impresión. El hombre sabe componérselas. Hay que saludar sus pronunciamientos en favor del acuerdo de paz y el ofrecimiento para ayudar al proceso con el ELN. Es una actitud positiva, muy diferente a la que tuvo Mariano Rajoy quien marginó a España de los diálogos de La Habana. El Partido Popular se entusiasmaba más con las políticas de guerra de Uribe. Históricamente el PSOE ha estado por el diálogo y la paz, tanto en Colombia como en otros países de la región.

Es interesante que en su gira por América Latina haya tenido contacto con procesos de memoria histórica, en momentos en que uno de los grandes debates en España es sobre qué se va a hacer con los huesos de la momia, que sigue recibiendo aberrantes honores en El Valle de los caídos, como parte del ejercicio histórico de reubicar el papel del franquismo en la historia, sacando el cadáver del sitial de honor y la ideología franquista de las instituciones, los códigos y los curriculums educativos. Sánchez ha sido ambiguo frente a Venezuela. Asume el discurso conservador de la supuesta dictadura y de catalogar como presos políticos a los instigadores terroristas detenidos, tal como lo hacía Rajoy, y siguiendo un poco la línea Zapatero señala que el camino no es el intervencionismo extranjero.

Curiosamente en Colombia el discurso antichavista ha sido abandonado por el uribismo y heredado sin inventario por un sector de la progresía. Pero volvamos a Pedro y a la aureola desplegada. Sus pronunciamientos dan base para un papel positivo de España en Colombia y América Latina. El problema gordo es que Pedro Sánchez un día dice cosas avanzadas, hace propuestas audaces y luego se asusta con los titulares de los medios y las críticas de la derecha y entonces recula. Un día recibe al Acuarius, aquel barco lleno de inmigrantes y de parias, y al otro ordena una expulsión express ilegal y violatoria de los derechos humanos de más de un centenar de inmigrantes que habían saltado la valla de Ceuta. Su discurso en la oposición y en la campaña electoral dista radicalmente de ejecutorias como gobierno en temas de modelo productivo y las relaciones capital-trabajo en los que tiende a coincidir con su viejo socio bipartidista.

Pedro Sánchez es un buen muchacho. Audaz en temas libertarios pero muy conservador en los temas de fondo. Suele tirar la piedra y luego arrepentirse.

Promete, adula pero luego… se queda simplemente como un fresco y elegante cantamañanas.
